Let me begin by thanking all of you for your support and loyalty during this uncertain and difficult time. As many of you have been coming in to the office for appointments already, you may already know, we have been properly following CDC guidelines to keep everyone safe since the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Compromising our standard of care, when it comes to patient and staff safety, was unacceptable and I was determined to not just do the bare minimum, but to go above and beyond to make the practice as safe as possible during the pandemic.

Since early 2020, we have implemented many changes to mitigate the spread of the virus. Our HVAC system has improved air flow, and we have also added HEPA filters and germicidal ionizers that scrub the air. We have been disinfecting each and every surface contacted by a patient after they leave and strictly socially distancing patients. We have also been changing all our PPE between patients so that we do not carry the virus on us from room to room. We have hired staff for the sole purpose of helping with sterilization of the operatories and common areas.

Unfortunately, due to the resurfacing and growth of the Delta variant, we are still keeping the reception area closed at this time and check-in is going to be done via text or phone. I know this is inconvenient but it is necessary for social distancing.

Since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, we have mandated that our patients wear a mask inside the office at all times except when they are undergoing treatment in the operatories. The mask requirement remains in place as we protect everyone against the delta variant.
